Government Employee Pension Fund Payment Dates 2023

All pensioners (regardless of when they are paid) need to be aware of the dates on which their pension will be paid during 2023/2024. To this end, GEPF has created a calendar of payment dates up to March 2024 (although it is important to remember that these dates can change):.

GEPF pays monthly pensions to different pensioner groups on two different dates:

  • Pensioners who retired on or before 31 December 2002 are paid on the first day of the month (monthly in advance).
  • Pensioners who retired after 31 December 2002 are paid on the last day of the month (monthly in arrears).

TymeBank gives interest-free early SASSA grant access before the official SASSA grant payment dates from SASSA.

Access R500 from your SASSA Grant in advance during the last 10 days of the month if you are a grant beneficiary who receives their SASSA Grant into their TymeBank Account.

No additional fees or interest, provided the advanced amount is repaid when the next grant payment is received from Sassa. Whatever money was withdrawn will be deducted from the TymeBank account when the account holder receives the grant payment from SASSA.

Grant Advance is not available to Social Relief of Distress (SRD) grant beneficiaries.

If their banking details are captured and processed by Sassa before the 15th of the month, the next grant payment will be paid into the selected TymeBank account.

How to check SASSA 350 Status

You can check SASSA R350 Grant status online on https://srd.sassa.gov.za/sc19/status. If your SASSA R350status check has been approved then you will see the month period (e.g. June) and then the word “Approved”. This “approved” status means that the grant application has successfully passed the verification process for that specific month and you will be paid. To see when the grant will be paid, you can check the pay date field.

If your SASSA Grant has Declined or Canceled it means it has not been approved.

There are many different reasons for which an application will be declined. You are welcome to appeal the SASSA Decision.

Please take your time and go through the reconsideration information carefully and choose the appropriate or corresponding reasons for the appeal.
